Need for Speed Heat is a racing simulation video game and the 24^th installment for the Need for Speed series. The game is set in a fictionalized open-world environment of Miami known as Palm City where players have the opportunity to drive around an open world map during a day and night cycle.

Participate in sets of events and challenges during the day and earn cash to upgrade your vehicle or own the road during nighttime in illegal races where you can enjoy the thrill of cops chasing you. The game also features a mechanic called Heat Factor which is a score multiplier tied to Rep, active at night only.

It increases the more illegal stunts you perform, but be wary. The higher the Heat, the more aggressive the cops get. Get to choose from over 125 cars from 33 different brands and utilize a wide selection of upgrades to boost your chances of winning races.
